Dot.Station hit market

Intel will enter the increasingly crowded field for Internet appliances today with the Dot.Station, a countertop terminal powered by Red Hat Linux that lets people surf the Web, exchange emails and make phone calls.

    I have seen this ad before, may be one or two years ago in Deccan Chronicle and, I think, is still advertised albeit it being offered by a company called ‘Big Apple”… back then the price was around Rs 6.5k.

    As for “Intel will enter the increasingly crowded field…” I just don’t think this is really a ‘news’ item… but then again, maybe I’m wrong…

    oops… sorry, i forget to mention that it is newly launched in NE India. The Regional Manager for the North East can be contacted at 9864023255. Application have been invited from various educational institutions and individuals in order to avail of this product.
