Mi hming kan hriat chhun te hi, proper introduction inpek avang a hria ni lovin, a tam ber chu mite’n an koh dan kan hriat atrang a hre ve chauh kan ni mai thei.

Bus ah te thu dun rengin Lunglei atranga Aizawl thleng chuang ho mah ila, bul a thru te hming hre miah lo a ni leng a zin chang a tam mai. Mizo zinga introduction inpek hi engvang a har(difficult) em em nge ni ang aw? ka ti. Hnam dang zingah chuan bus ah te aeroplane ah te, bula thute hnenah, “I am (so and so. . .), what’s yours?” han tih chuan hawihhawm (polite) takin min chhang let a, ice breaker tha tak a ni.

Well, let me take back some of it 🙂 You will find that not all of them do it willingly either. It depends. When you go to New York city streets for example, people seems to be so busy and don’t seem to have any time for social courtesy, my impression could be wrong. But on he average, I find New Yorkers, unlike the people of Michigan and other places, don’t seem to be too friendly! Introduce yourself to someone in NY city street, don’t be surprised people looking at you with strange suspicion, as if to say, “Who the **** is this guy?”

Whatever may be the case, how can we, as Mizos do a better job this area? I will be most interested in your positive feedback.
