After watching the video, I hope you will have a good idea of Twitter, the King of micro-blogging. The status update in Facebook and Orkut are partly if not fully influenced by Twitter.
If you don’t like to tweet (updating status on twitter), you will still make great use of Twitter Search, especially for breaking news. You can even subscribe to search result via RSS.
You can write update from the web or use one of the many clients. I use Twitterfox, a Firefox add-on. I also use Facebook twitter application to send my twitter updates to Facebook status.
So if you aren’t on Twitter, you should! Because we are there

@ buzzbabe: A fren of mine used to use twitterific on her iPhone, but recently changed to an app called “tweetie”, which she said is much more user-friendly than twitterific.

@bmw: haha… khami tweet ah kha chuan #mumbai tag ka dah kha, which means it is even more important for Mumbaiites as there could be a fire somewhere in the city. Fortunately people tweeted back immediately that there was no fire and it was only a mock drill. See how it works – I tweet that message. Somebody who is in my network retweets it (RT) and everybody in his/her network sees that and they retweet it again… like that the word spread quickly. Thats the power of twitter!
