Google has launched the google Map maker Global competition to encourage young people to use technology for community developement.The contest invites interested participants around the world to Map the Universities,schools,hospitals and medical clinics in their home countries on google Map Maker to help humanitarian organisations such as UNICEF do their job better.

As we know,Google Map Maker,www.google.com/map maker,enables users to become citizen cartographers and contribute knowledge about their native places with the online community,So,if you are a user ,you can add familiar points of interest,sketch roads and buildings,etc.there are exciting prizes to be won so if you are interested you con add familiar points of interested you can register at

The contest will remain open till january 31,2010. The winner will be announcedby Febuary 15 this year.
