We all know that having a love affair and being in a relationship is not a cakewalk. It gets harder and more complicated especially when you have to keep up with a lot of pretending and faking. Even as we try to hold on, things often get out of control. Reality then comes along and as the famous saying goes – ‘it bites’. Doubts arise from all corners. Then, an unsatisfied mind starts to ask hundreds of questions to the heart which often fails to give any answer. But, an answer is needed.
So, looking back into the depths and heights of our so called love affair, we try to find out where and how it all went wrong. Disappointingly, we are never close to finding an answer. The easiest way to satisfy our quest for an answer often turned out to be these words : ‘may be we are not soulmates after all !’ Yes, may be. Let’s face the reality. Do you really think that there are soulmates, who do not have ups and downs in their relationship? Do you believe that people get married and lived happily ever after ?
We want to have someone to grow old with, someone we can lean on, someone who will always be there for us no matter what happens. But, it’s not easy to find somebody like that unless we first realize our part in it. So then, how do we find a soulmate ?
Be what you expect your partner to be. Love comes with forgiveness, understanding, believing in what you’ve never believed; change, and living not only your dreams but of somebody else’s, doing something you’ve never dreamt of. One can not be selfish any more, instead needs to lay low and surrender. It’s not about saying and doing the right thing all the time, but about accepting each other’s mistakes and weaknesses. There will be bad times and tears; but, count only the laughter and joys, the sweet times and kisses. You will then find yourself a soulmate.
