The mood ahead of the UEFA Champions League final between United and Barca has been friendly.

A good final for the neutral is expected with both teams doing their best to talk up the abilities of their opponents.

Do not mistake that for complacency. Both sides know what’s at stake – the importance of a fourth European Cup to add to the trophy cabinet of two historical sides cannot be underestimated.

The Red Devils with three European Cups to their name are still behind their bitter rivals Liverpool who have five while a win for Barca at Wembley would cement the Catalans’ argument for being the best side ever.
