hi!, my name is Albert Bozeh basically from senapati dist. of manipur state, currently in Goa for the last 5 years, presently doing final year law(LLb). and also holding da post of speaker in North east association Goa, which is recently formed and still on the process for retgistration.
well, regarding about the incident wat has happen recently was actually a long story, but i shall narate it in brief as far to my
knowledge.the said incident has happened at Lotus Parlour which is situated at Porvorim, about 4 km away from panahi (capital city). this palour was run by a couple and mostly incharge by the wife named Laxmi mishra.before the mizo gals arrived in goa and work at the said parlour , more then then 10 of my frens(Gals) from manipur had been working in the said parlour for more then one year some even about 2 years, they were not happy with the treatment given by the owner of the parlour, specially with just 2 days off a month and the salary not paid in time.
in the month of july the owner did not pay the salary they ve
requested their mam to pay it but all in vain, so finally some gals quit the job without salary and started working in some other parlour which is also situated at porvorim. the owner of the parlour(laxmi mishra) came to know about the gals working in another parlour and one day in the month of sept. came to dat parlour (Carol by name) and abused those two gals, she even bit them and tryed to used forced trying to pull the gals to her vehicle.
by the time one gal phoned me about the incident so i called up laxmi mishra to ve a discussion about the incident. before i went to meet laxmi mishra i first went to meet those 2 gals and getherd all report then i went to lotus parlour and meet the owner regarding about the issues, she was explaining to me all false stories other then wat i heard from the gals, so i came to know that she is not a good lady.
then we called some few friends and along with all the gals who are employed at lotus parlour, had a meeting. at the meeting we heard about the mizo gals who were brought to goa recently and forcefully given training for massage, we also learn that those mizo gals are illitetrate and doesnt even know english, and the sadest thing is that the gals were telling the co staffs that they were unaware that they will be employed for such kind of work, we also learned that those gals were brought through the contacts of a person named Alex who is working at Ritz parlour which is also run by a Sibling of Laxmi mishra.
in the meeting we decided to filed a police complain, but before the police complain is filed we also already learned from the gals
employee that the owner of lotus parlour pay some monthly bribe amount to porvorim police station so there wont be any effects but still as we ve to follow according to procedure of law, since the incident has happen at porvorim we filed a police complain but all in vain, the police instead of investigating on Lotus parlour they invested more on carol parlour where those 2 gals were working.
in the last week of sept. the north east assocition executives along with those gals employee of lotus parour had a meeting and we decided not to allow any north east gals work again at the said parlour. we wanted to infromed the mizo gals as well, but since they dont unerstand english we couldnt pass the news to mizo gals in time. we were also shocked to learned that one ex-employee of lotus parlour who is from nagaland along with the owner (husband) had gone to nagaland to bring some more staffs, so when they come back we were about to infromed but before we could do that the present incident had happened.
in the news report i learn that 3 mizo gals who were forcefully
emloyed to conduct illegal activities and when they hessitate to do those job the owner even harrassed them and bit them, so one night those 3 gals manage to run from the parlour through a fren and later on inform to there relatives back at home. then there relatives reported about the issues to mizoram police. and with tip off news report from mizoram police, the Goa police raided the parlour, and arrested the owner laxmi mishra along with 11 gals, out of which 7 from nagaland, and also those mizo gals too. in the news report i also learn that the mizoram police are requesting to transfer the case to mizoram since the owner was trafficking mizo gals, (i really encourage this initiation of mizoram police.)
the owner of lotus parlour had also earlier faced similar problems
where 5 staffs was once arrested by police on suspicion, but though the initiation of womens comminsion help the case was resolved. according to my understanding the owner had started to indulged in such illegal activities since her bussiness was crushed as we removed all experianced staffs from her parlour.
i really regret for those inocent staff who are in trouble now. and i really encourage the police team for doing such a good job, presently, hope justice will be done according to the illegal wrongs they ve done..
i ve just explained all this in a hurry, so u it may be little hard to understand. if there is any doubt then call me up to enquire more..
