Post 11 is misleading…….What will be the caste of the children???? The judiciary has categorically held that determination of caste of a person is governed by customary laws and a person under the customary Hindu law would be inheriting his caste from his father and not from his mother. In Anjan Kumar Vs Union of India, the husband belonged to a forward class community and wife belonged to a Scheduled Tribe community and their son claimed the communal status as that of his mother and claimed benefits under the Scheduled Tribe quota. The Supreme Court rejected his claim and held that he is not entitled to get the Scheduled Tribe Certificate.

Mizo: Scheduled Tribe
Father vai = children vai. Therefore, since vai is a scheduled tribe, a child who grew up among Mizo’s is still a vai and hence can not be/is not a Mizo. Therefore, children whose father is vai should not even think about claiming what rightfully belongs to scheduled tribes. hairehai 😛

We the Mizo’s does not accept Vai’s as scheduled tribe or as a Mizo. Therefore, can not claim what is for scheduled tribe only akekekekee 😉
