@ Zualbonez: You can call it “intellectual growth” of the Chakmas of Mizoram. And, u should be thankful for contributions of Chakma commentators which enrich the misual.com , or else the debate and information remains “one-sided.” :-)

I have a “Brahma Astra”. Do u know what it is? It is a sanskrit word. Wikipedia describes it as “it was considered the deadliest weapon. It was said that when the Brahmastra was discharged, there was neither a counter attack nor a defense that could stop it, except by Brahmadanda, a stick also created by Brahma. The Brahmastra never missed its mark and had to be used with very specific intent against an individual enemy or army, as the target would face complete annihilation.” If Chemtatrawta comes for debate, I might drop the “Brahma Astra” on him…Hahaha,…So, he should think carefully before he agrees to come to the debate.. :-D

@ Zualbonez, I wouldn’t mind exporting you to BBC for their “Hard Talk” programme for your capability to moderate such explosive discussion, this one at misual.com is a classic example of your calibre & potential (O) (Y)
In general Chakmas are ready to discuss and debate on any issues and in any platform. The discussion become meaningful when any arguments by posing or opposing party is backed by proper facts and data and on equal footings. It is waste of time when some arguments were put based on some general knowledge books or hearsay or based on popular opinion or based on unsubstantiated data and of course a little dose common sense. For example it is illogical to discuss Chakma Population growth or the percentage of it by putting data from unsubstantiated source and with prejudice mind. If one wants to discuss a True Analysis then one data needs to be compared with others. Such as if some members wants to analyse Chakma Population Growth, it must also present Mizo population growth, compare it and expose.
Abuse, Accuse, Violence are easy methods but wrong methods resulting in defeat.

Mr. Socialman: Read and analyze all my comments carefully in all the post related to ethnic issue specially those related to the three ADCs… you will see what my principle really is, in this matter.

And mind you… figure for each year was taken as per the census of India by TRI, Aizawl Mizoram except 1986… The recorded data of 1986 was as per the record made by the CADC authority.

Myself didn’t made any critical analysis i just read what my friend had on his PhD thesis…

@Ignatia: I do not know why figures of the same Census of India but available in various documents of Mizo scholars do not match. For example, you have referred to TRI Aizawl to say that Chakma population in 1951 Census was “11,435” but quoting from the same Census (1951), another Mizo has claimed that the Chakma population in 1951 was “15297” (see https://misual.life/2012/10/.....kma-te-hi/ ) . Which is the CORRECT census data?? :-O
That is why I stated that there is a tendency to misinterpret the data. Research must be objective, you know.

    Larma Says:

@Ignatia, kindly post the India Census report (If you believe TRI has truly taken it from Census of India) of Chakmas and Mizos both, for a proper analysis to back your claim. Other wise your analysis & comments would stand bogus and malafide.

For your information, more than half of the Chakmas in Mizoram live outside CADC.
While I appreciate your friend’s effort to earn PhD but I am afraid if your friends earn it by wrong data & facts, it would amount to cheating. We would be glad to go through the thesis of your friend and see how authentic his /her Research are. Kindly do not take it as another Chakma-Mizo War…it is just that we do not need another wrong report being made right by a Doctorate thesis.

I am surprised..First you accuse , then seek to run away when asked for a debate . An emblematic case of “Hit and run”.. This shows how weak are your defence..You can accuse without any accountability only when you argue amongst yourselves (Mizos) or not-so-knowledgeable Chakma.. You will fall flat before a tough guy, because the fundamentals of your arguments are too weak…. .hehehe…
