Game, Set and Match to Taxis in Who Created these Traffic Jams Anyway Standoff

Three days after streets in Aizawl were a delight to cruise and you could get from Kulikawn to Zemabawk without meaninglessly wasting away an hour or two as you and your means of transport drowsily sat out the nasty, unrelenting traffic snarls, the Mizoram govt has meekly said Alrighty you’re the bosses, the kings of the roads, go ye forth and jam up the roads once more to the ZTOA. At a meeting in the DC’s office last evening, after hearing out the various grievances of the ZTOA, Pu Vanengmawia, DC, announced that the Aizawl SP Pu LT Hrangchal’s earlier order stood rescinded and taxis could mess up Aizawl streets in any sequence of numbers again. So it’s back to square one, folks. If I’m late for work again today, you know what I’m gonna blame

we dont know what you gonna blame.. maybe you squeezed out too much toothpaste on to your toothbrush and you were made to squeeze it back in again???

Taxis.. Autos.. all happily increasing the congestion.. they are a necessary evil since we poor people who dont have a personal means of conveyance have to rely on the cabbies and autowallas to get us from point A to B….
and of course the taxi drivers need to earn a living too hey!

No, I had to squeeze back in my anti-pimple ointment.

And yes, cabbies do need to make a living too, I don’t deny them that. What annoys me here is the govt’s over-tame capitulation to the standoff. Boo, double triple boo to the softies in charge. They could’ve held out on a few conditions but instead they just let the taxis have their way. That’s lousy administration in my book.

Intlan chhawk khan Taxi ho tan a tha zawk dawn asin mawle… an turn ah chuan Stand-a din reng ngai lovin tlanna tur an nei deuh reng a nga an hlok loh phah chuang kher lovang. And they’l have a holiday every other day.

They have. Or so they say. The only permits they claim they’re now ever going to give out are to retired govt drivers
