Vist or XP

Having used both the OS, Its kinda hard to say which is better. My Laptop comes along with Ultimate Vista so does my Desktop with XP Pro. SP2. Vista has a better look, specially with the Aero but it doesnt accommodate a lot of softwares I had that works fine in XP. One has to lookout for the compatible ones before installation. A Vista Ultimate used approx. 17.5 GB HD after all possible updates! Its complicated for a while but it works perfectly once u got the hang of it. Some says a Vista is faster than XP, but I dont see that, its performance is based on your hardwares. For home users, Aero comes with Home Premium and Ultimate but it wont get installed if you dont have the required hardwares. Till now I havent faced any issues with my Vista, and its a bit faster at startup than XP.

XP used approx 5 GB of HD, it almost can install anything without a problem and it works fast as well. Dont need to mention much about XP as we all know, and you can get a lot of themes, modifications etc from various sites to make it looks good and for better performance.what I hate about XP’s that it hangs a lot and irritating automatic updates installation during shut down. Other wise its a good package. And I wouldnt change it to Vista easily.
I would say choose your OS based on your needs rather than haste if you are copied user otherwise whatever comes along with the OEM. These are few instances and lets hear your response.
