Apple has release Safari 3.1 browser for both Mac and Windows. According to Apple:
The fastest web browser on any platform, Safari loads pages up to 1.9 times faster than Internet Explorer 7 and up to 1.7 times faster than Firefox 2.
When Apple first released Safari for Windows,I tried it but didn’t like it. It didn’t seem to attract much taker.
I downloaded and installed the new version on Windows XP. I have used it for a few minutes. I browsed a few sites – misual.com, youtube, citibank, gmail, online banking. No surprises, everything works as expected. Seems much better now. I will use it as my default browser for the next fews.
Test drive the new Safari 3.1:

Yeah, the loading seems faster even with secured pages. (+)
However, it is still using the default IE/Windows Internet options for proxy settings. (-)

thats good question. it works out of the box for multimedia content (I checked only YouTube) but it is far behind Firefox in terms of plugin.
A few here:

I doubt if average Joe installs any additional plugin on Firefox. Also would the average Joe thinks of trying of Safari
