The final match of the 2nd RN Tamchon Memorial Football Trophy will be played at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium, ITO, New Delhi (25th Oct, 2008) at 3:30pm. The match will be played between two deserving teams – Sinlung HSA FC and Zeliangrong FC.

Sinlung HSA FC beat defending champion Wung United (3-0) in the semi-final to enter the final while in the other semi-final Zeliangrong FC beat Kangleicha Sanaroi Lup (KLS) by 1-0 to qualify for the final.

In addition to the trophy, the champion of the tournament will take home a cash reward of Rs. 2 lakhs plus certificates, medals, etc. The championship trophy will be owned by any team who wins the trophy consecutively for three years.

The football trophy is organised by the Tangkhul Naga Society, Delhi (TNSD) in memory of Late RN Tamchon (former ACP, Delhi).

The closing ceremony of the tournament will starts at 2.30pm. Sachin Pilot, MP (Lok Sabha) will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
