When he made the whole town hate him because of his stubbornness to kill Antonio, i dont see any future for him.. in fact, i dont see how his profit would grow if he dwell amongst people who hate him.
Where would he move? Well u tell me since ur the one who said he will make more profit after anotnios death.
u still didnt seem to get what I wrote about banks. There are banks following the interest rate set by the central bank but at the same time there are others that are still offering lower rates than the one set by the central bank. So, are u telling me that the banks ( who are setting their interest rate as per central banks) compared to other financial institutions who are setting their interest rate lower than the central bank more greedy?
Have u ever get so mad that u said u could kill? does that make u a murderer? are all the people who swear out of anger practice it in real life? Is it fair to say whatever comes out of ur mouth that is ur principle in real life?

He will be the sole moneylender of the town, people have no choice but to use his service, Antonio did exactly the same thing, he approached Shylock because theres no one else.

It may not be fair to characterise people on the basis of their outburst, It was certainly fair to characterise Shylock based on his outburst because it was supported throughout the story. In fact his GREED is one of the central theme of the Merchant of Venice

Antonio asked Bassanio to go to moneylenders in venice and bassanio went to shylock. ( another assumption? ). Antonio did not approach shylock but only dealt with him because he love bassanio and bassanio had already streered the deal with him.
I dont have to think about it.. how about credit unions? they are financial institution too and rates varies among them because it is set by the board of directors of each union. You think they will make the bank look more greedy as they are in the same business?

Yeah he dealt with him because hes the only one Bassanio could find isnt it? I will not speculate further since it is clear they have no choice other than using the services of a jewish money lender whom Antonio despised.

Do you know a Credit Union, that charges less interest than the rates set by a Central Bank? And Yes, if someone charge less interest, it will make someone who charge higher interest look more greedy, and yes I know you are going to say because Antonio didnt charge interest and made Shylock look greedy. The fact is charging interest itself is considered greed hence Shylock is greedy.
