Karnataka home minister crashes wrong party
On his way to meet the kin of BJP activist Sridhar Mally, Acharya saw a crowd and thinking it was a BJP gathering, walked in. The bewildered Congressmen extended the courtesy expected to be given to a minister and offered him a chair. Even then, Acharya did not realise that he had walked into the wrong meeting.
…But they became restless when Acharya started criticising Congress. The resulting protests made Acharya realise his folly and he just scooted. He left his security personnel behind…

Dr Acharya addresses Congress meeting!
When contacted, Dr. Acharya told The Hindu that he had gone to Hiriyadka to condole the death of Sridhar Mallya. “Then I saw Mr. Vinod Rao. I thought of talking to him. When I went inside his house, I found many people there. I had an interactive session with them as a Minister. We discussed certain current problems. That’s all,” he said.
