1. Re-create the Pm70.cnffile.
PageMaker stores information for plug-ins, features, and the application itself inone of its preferences files, Pm70.cnf. A damaged Pm70.cnf file can prevent you from opening a publication.
Note: When you re-create the Pm70.cnf file, PageMaker restores settings to their defaults.
To re-create the Pm70.cnf file:
1. Quit PageMaker.
2. Rename the Pm70.cnf file, which is in the Program Files/Adobe/PageMaker 7.0/Rsrc/Usenglsh folder.
3. Start PageMaker. PageMaker re-creates the preferences file.
2. Breakgraphic links.
A publication may not open if graphic links are corrupted. Break graphic links in the copy of the publication by moving linked graphic files to a different location on the hard disk. If the copy opens, restore the links using Links Manager.
