I do not the relevance of the Common Wealth today. They call it “Common Wealth”, but you have to go through rigorous visa process to vist UK or some other Common Wealth countries. There is no sharing (common) of wealth either. And you know what, the Old Common Wealth groups (UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand) are very arrogant when it comes to the New Common Wealth countries. Look at how these countries barked when we (Indians) could not finish the CWG Village on time. They even said that ours is filthy.
I do not enjoy any special priviledge by being in the Common Wealth. And the UK is much closer to countries who are not in the Common Wealth. So for me, Common Wealth or no Common Wealth, all the same.
