Sandman – the man of words , the renowned blogger and IIM_B dropout, basketball veteran, the man who got the first woman spread between his biceps and triceps, the quest who taught me how to make Irish coffee, warm and friendly but ready to piss off harmless consumer electronic like refrigerator, currently hiding in his Mumbai hideout, without cell phone, Internet connection, preparing furiously to get back at B school apart from doing his sister’s laundry and dishes :-D, isn’t high time you and other bloggers here talk about blogging –
How to blog?
What to blog?
Where to blog?
The joy and fun of blogging.
Bw with his vast knowledge on gay, it is surprising that he hardly writes on gay in his blog.
Gm with his unchallenged knowledge of football, he can definitely do better job for example – a blog on football , than rapidly switching girl friends. I even want to see him on the TV as a football commentator , a football columnist in sports magazine.
When I become a father with kids, I would like to able to say, look at that man on the TV, it’s uncle Gm. You switched to different channel and oh it’s uncle Bw in white three piece, an expert on Gay explaining to audience how he didn’t become a gay inspite of his knowledge on the subject. Even before you could hear what Bw has to explain, the door bell rings and it’s the delivery boy with the month’s edition of Business World. There’s goes Mr’s Rtz telling the kids ,”OMG!! it’s a cover story on Uncle Sandman , Sr. Marketing Director of Tattoo International on how the company earned billions from tattoo and how tattoo personally changed his life”.

hets!!! salla watch my next post on my blog. It’s gonna be directed only at you. Since you want me to write gay articles, maybe I can combine that with the one about you.
Blogging is fun. But if one really wants his/her blog to be a hit, you must be careful about a couple of things.
1. TMI – Too Much Information. There are millions of bloggers out there already. And most of them write about their life, what they had for breakfast, what was the name of their childhood crush etc etc. Remember, people are not going to waste their time reading such posts.
2. Opinionated blogs are what attract readers. Have an opinion about something and add your little twist to it (a little humour always help). check out my latest post entitled “I’m horny, you’re horny” if you wanna know what I mean.
3. The world is a Global village. Everybody can read your blog. So be very careful about shooting your mouth off without finding out whether it is true or not first. Also be careful about using racial slurs etc on your blog.
4. Think of who your potential readers are going to be. Till now, before writing anything, I always think at who I am aiming for. And the end result proves that. Some of my posts will have mainly Mizos commenting, while other posts will have only non-Mizos commenting. In MBA term, we call this STP – Segmentation, Targetting and Positioning. It all depends on how you segment your readers, who you are targetting and where you are going to position yourself.
5. And lastly, visit other blogs. That is how you will get people visit yours. Leave profounding comments that will attract other commenters to visit your blog. And then there are websites that consolidates all the best posts made for others to visit. My posts appear regularly at desipundit.com so I get a bulk of my visitors from there.
6. Remember, the more visit you get, the more popular your blog will be. Hence when people make a google search, a popular blog will be at the top. There are many words now which if you search on google will show my blog as the first result.

Personally I prefer my blog to be pretty private. I definitely don’t want a bunch of strangers coming in and gawping at stuff that doesn’t really concern them. If I did I’d be a journalist or a reporter!
I don’t read other people’s blogs much unless they happen to really grab my attention or I’m particularly curious about them. And I just hate reading stuff online that’s longwinded and go on and go about sth that can be summed in just a few words. If I’m going to read sth at length I prefer it to come in printed form.
And finally, very few people express themselves well in writing. If I shut off my mind to a verbal bore who drones on and on in real life, I’m definitely not going to waste time on bores who clumsily spew crap on their blogs.
