Of all the cakes I have tasted, plain cake from Zote Bakery is the best ever, for it’s price. I purchased 4 plain cakes from Dawrpui branch of Zote Bakery last week.
Since I had to take them with me down to Chennai, I asked for a box. The keeper told me they don’t have one. Looking around a little to the left, I could see many packing boxes. Still hesitating, “It won’t fit”, she told me again. I replied, “How about the bigger ones on top”. No response from the female shop keeper this time. She was more interested in attending to the caller on her mobile phone. I would have been happy for a polite explanation for not being able to pack me the cakes.
Long ago, I heard from a source close to Zote Bakery proprietor that making money from Zote Bakery is not their priority but good bakery products for Mizoram is.
This confirms my information:
