3:45 pm : I heard my cousins’ kids (neighbours) screaming out “in a kang, in a kang” from their balcony. I rushed out immediately with my new 5.0 mega pixel 12x zoom Canon digicam (insawitheiness).
Something was definitely burning on the Zemabawk road. I took a couple of snaps and am posting it here at misual.com immediately. I have no idea what’s burning, but as I am typing this report (4:15pm), the fire engine just ran past our house towards Zemabawk with full bells and sirens clanging and banging… I must say the response time is not bad at all, considering the traffic jam in the city at this hour.
Some of the pics I managed to click. Converted them to 600×450 first because they were all in 2592×1944 pixel size.

Sandman: To get a larger picture , closed up picture @ 640×450, what I do is cut out the portion I wanted to highlight and then scale to 400/450 fixed width. And that was quick btw.

Also, better set the width to 400. I see WordPress properly resizes properly on firefox but not IE.

I must say the response time is not bad at all,
– Perhaps Govt should consider setting up fire dept office in North Aizawl to better serve areas such as Bawngkawn, Zemabawk, Thuampui, Durtlang, Rangvamual etc.. should there be funds.
