My innocence! Oh ignorance!

Friday, January 26th, 2007

Recently someone told me about misual.com and me being trying to do the ‘IN’ thing as always got myself registered to be one of the priviledge misual.commers as I find the site pretty much amazing. Well, frankly Internet and stuffs are never my thing-i know how to check mails, send IM and wreck my brains on trivia. So when I logged in I couldn’t find where people put comments. (i hope u get me?). I logged out and logged in again several times thinking somebody might be there to help me. I clicked God knows what.. I tried calling a friend (you know this guy has always been a great help when it comes to computer) and he won’t pick his damn cell phone. Thats how I end up writing this post. In desperation!! But I would like to share more of my philosophical ideas if you guys could help me out first. Where to put the comments! Ignorance isn’t a bliss after all.

Help is here: Hi violette, thank you for joining us and welcome to our world. As you login, click “view site” which you would find on the top left corner of the screen. This will take you to the front page.

Once your on the front page, click on the title of a post and then scroll down until you find a box to place your comments. FYI: You can add comments even without signing in.

PS: I did not break this post, showing entire content on the front page to make sure dear violette sees everything :-)

Edge with GPRS

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

Going mobile means not having to connect your laptop to a broadband land line connection. So, I’ve decided to make that move. Data cards are not what I’m thinking of and instead, I have thought of going for a mobile with Edge technology-a technology, I am told, that increases your GPRS speed upto 3 times. What this means is that, all I need to do is plug-in my mobile (with inbuilt EDGE technology) to my laptop and voila, I’m online at download speeds > 128kbps! (this also means that my site can be opened :D).

Just wondering if any of you folks have used GPRS with Edge (or friends that you know)? I need your opinions on this, seriously.
Many thanks in advance : )

Am not gonna mention the place as far as you know it is about 200 kms away from Aizawl. We can find some ‘eye catching’ remains of the past. OK, here goes one by one.

1. Chhura Vawkpa (Chhura’s pig). It really resembles a pig when taken from the front :

As you like it

Had a really bad day at work and the unsurmountable friday weekly meeting which I dearly called Friday Firing, was the final blow. Well, my boss’ ass is already on fire and so is eventually mine , as the hierarchy goes, for whatever reason regarding the $1 million plus project I need to bring in this first quarter of the year (huiha heiha), wherein he matter-of-factly said that we are already in the ”3rd week of the first month” and ‘things dont seem to move as we plan for the year” rantings. ‘Well atleast I have been giving my best of efforts (more…)

Anyone here been to Phawngpui tlang, Mizoram’s highest peak? A blogger on livejournal did. Found his blog post of pictures and account of his adventure to Blue Mountain. Definitely worth checking out. Looking at the pictures gives me great feeling that such a beautiful place exists in Mizoram.

How to get back your stolen phone

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

Just send him very touching messages:)

A Chinese thief has returned a mobile phone and thousands of yuan he stole from a woman after she sent him 21 touching text messages, Xinhua news agency reports.

Sounds kinda weird, but seems the best way to get back your phone. Might not work to every phone thief though.
