Teenage media mogul Nick Coates is so confident he will one day be as successful as Rupert Murdoch that he snubbed an offer of £8.5 million pounds from the BBC for his youth news website. Nick, just 17, is chief executive of Sharpenews Ltd, the first global news agency for young people, but says he’s not interested in pocketing megabucks at the moment. In the last 18 months the website has had 89 million hits, making the Cleeve School student one of the most successful IT entrepreneurs of his generation…

personally i dont think it deserve £8.5 mil..layout not even “very warm” kinda conjusted and crowded..contents not that “crazy” enuf to be recognized, kinda seemed like he took it off some other news site..some page are still under constructions..etc etc etc..
I visited the website and left in 1 minute..and btw misual.com is much better coz everyone can contribute here..2 heads better than 1 likewise 100s of heads better than 20 or so .. plus i dont know how to put it exactly but articles and news in misual.com are actually things that if u google it, it might just have one or two hits which will be this website..try the headlines on sharpenews.com..it will have 100s of hits..just shows the uniqueness of our website!!

@Well: Misual.com being Mizo/Mizoram centric, viewers could be quite limited.However, it was awesome to have close to 5.8 lakhs hits in Feb. Hits since Aug 9 2006 is 2,592,882 after moving to wordpress. Before that we crossed 1 million somewhere in May/June of 2006. So, since Sept of 2005, over all hits would roughly 3.6 – 4 millions.
