50 specialist doctors to be recruited soon

Aizawl, Sept 27: R. Tlanghmingthanga, Minister Health and Family Welfare Deptt stated that fifty specialist doctors will be recruited soon and proposals for recruitment of a Medical officer is in the process during the Golden Jubilee celebration function of the Health Workers Training School held today.

Speaking at the celebration function, the minister said that the state is making plans for the upgrading of CHC and PHCs in the state and that Rs. 26 crores has been sanctioned for the upgrading of Champhai Civil Hospital. “This training school has shaped up a number of health workers who have made a huge reforms in this state. The people of Mizoram are in huge debt to this school,” he added.

C. Chawngkimi, Principal Nursing Officer gave a report of the school saying the school was established in 1951 and upgraded by the World Health Assembly in 1977 to accommodate Multipurpose Health Worker. It was turned into a All India Level Nursing School in 1980 and a separate branch for male health workers was opened in 1982. The school currently has 12 teaching staff and a high number of non-teaching staff. 724 health workers consisting of 299 males and 425 ANM females have graduated from the school since 1981.

@lyana, doctor thenkhat zu heh tak te chu i lo hmu nual tawh a ni mai thei a. Amaherawhchu doctor zawng zawng zu in nasa lutuka ngaih theih tura “generalize” hi chu a dik ber dawn em ni? Dr. fel tak tak kan ngah a sin.

champhai doctor kan neih te zu heh tak2, nam thur2 reng an awm fo mai. mahse chu tih kar ah fel tak2 an om ve zauh2 bok. hmanrua thra om lo leh hospital troih chhe lutuk toh hi siam thrat ni thei se a duh om ngot ang.
