@Chemtatrawta: It is a fact that 1 lakh Mizo-Chin Burmese are living illegally in Mizoram .. Yet they are “people of Mizoram” only because u say they are Mizos (may be from Burma). Kindly read this news in the Seven Sisters Post,
“Aliens get job cards, voter IDs in Mizoram, https://sevensisterspost.com/al.....n-mizoram/
Zodin Sanga, Aizawl (Sept 19): Numerous Myanmarese nationals living in Mizoram are said to possess not only NREGS job cards, but even the electoral photo ID cards.
The deputy commissioner of Lunglei district has disclosed that a number of Myanmarese migrants staying in the southern Mizoram district are reported to have job cards for the Central government’s scheme for 100 days’ employment and even the voters IDs.
“Some of them are said to possess not only one, but two voters ID cards,” V Sapchhunga said during the district vigilance & committee meeting at Lunglei on Tuesday, which was attended by the two MPs from Mizoram, CL Ruala (Lok Sabha) and Lalhmingliana (Rajya Sabha).
The district administration said cooperation from the Indian citizens would be required to find out the illegal voters and job card holders.
Voicing grave concern over the issue, the Lok Sabha MP also added: “Mizoram is housing a large number of Myanmarese migrants who have been causing social, economic and administrative problems in the society. Unless the illegal foreigners are checked soon, they are sure to give us greater problems.”
In the light of the officials’ remarks, Myanmarese migrants are suspected behind existence of bogus NREGS job cards in Mizoram in all of the eight districts.
According to the officials, not only Myanmarese nationals, but also Indian citizens from the neighbouring states are working in different sectors in the state causing jobs scarcity for the sons of the soil.
Mizoram, which shares 404 kilometres border with Myanmar (Burma), is home to not less than 60,000 Myanmarese migrants, majority of them ethnic Chins who share similar cultures and language with the Mizos.
They work in handloom industries, shops, restaurants, automobile workshops, and also domestic help. Many of them are also engaged in moonshine factories and drugs peddling.
According to a Myanmarese social activist who did not want to be named, the recent political change in Myanmar has not yet instilled a sense of confidence among the Myanmarese refugees to go back to their country.
“Only a few of them have gone back home. Majority are still afraid to go back,” he has said.
According to the Indian Passport Act, Myanmarese nationals, especially Chins, were allowed to travel up to 40 km from the border inside Mizoram as they have many relatives on both sides of the border. However, the MHA reduced the free zone to 16 kilometres and directed the state government that any Myanmarese national intending to go beyond 16 km inside Mizoram has to obtain permission from New Delhi.
The mass migration of Chins from Myanmar following military atrocities in that country is a big burden for the small state of Mizoram which has a population of a little more than ten lakh.
The Chins easily mingled with the Mizos as they share similar culture and language and have the same physical features.”
When illegal Myanmarese nationals living in Mizoram are having “not only one, but two voters ID cards,” as revealed by the Lunglei DC, apart from NREGS job cards, ration cards, WHY ARE YOU SILENT?
If you say they are Mizos-Chins and you have no problem in Mizoram, then by your argument, all Sikhs and Hindus from Pakistan can enter at will and they need not even obtain Indian citizenship in India?

@Chemtatrawta: So, you have no answers to my questions …hehehe…
No, you are not generous to anyone, except your illegal people from East and West. What not you left undone to detect Chakma foriegners for decades? I tell you, had you been able to detect such numbers of illegal Chakmas in Mizoram would the MZP and YMA be silent??? You have left no stones unturned to detect illegal Chakmas but despite all the available mechanisms and efforts, you could NOT detect any Chakma foreigner. It means that your claim about Chakma illegal Bangladeshis is hollow..

@Chemtatrawta: My words were hard to digest, right?Well,I’ve not made any baseless allegation but these are 100% true facts for which I can give you proofs.Few years ago many Mizos (Pangkhuas) were caught by the BSF while illegally entering India (Bharat) through Silsury Village,Mizoram.Later, another group of such Pangkhua Mizos were caught while supplying Airguns,a .22 rifle and second hand clothes to Mizoram near Marpara village.Have you heard of any such case of Chakma being caught supplying arms or illegally entering India?

@Chemtatrawta: WHY are you SILENT on illegal Mizo foreigners from Burma living in Mizoram, and Lunglei Deputy Commissioner stated that they have obtained not one but two voter ID cards each (read the SSP report above)??? Your illogical arguments on Chakmas and double standards on illegal foreigners in Mizoram have been EXPOSED to the hilt by the Seven Sisters Post report and my arguments. ..

socialman, refugees are accepted by the mizo society,be it CHakma or zohnahthlak or bru.. But, the very fact that several Mizo died at the hands of a refugee cannot be digested, anywhere by anyone..thats the logic, got that..

#61 @ Chemtatrawta, I am glad to hear from you that Mizos are willing to accept “refugees .. be it CHakma or zohnahthlak or bru”.. This is quite sane, and logical, and humanist view. But, how can you ACCEPT “refugees” obtaining illegally VOTER CARD of INDIA from Mizoram? How can you DIGEST crimes like RAPE, MURDER, Smuggling of arms, narcotics , drugs , sale of WINE (banned in Mizoram) by these Mizo refugees, even if they are refugees ??
Read what Mizo Lok Sabha MP said “Mizoram is housing a large number of Myanmarese migrants who have been causing social, economic and administrative problems in the society. Unless the illegal foreigners are checked soon, they are sure to give us greater problems.” (SSP report, above)

@Mr/Mrs Chemtatrawta: Shanti Bahinis(the famous militant group, as you say) are based in Bangladesh, and not India. You’re right when you say that they (Shanti Bahinis) possess arms but they do not supply arms to others. They are fighting against Bangladesh, and not against India. And if you have any relatives in Balma who could supply them with arms, they may want to buy some arms from them as well.As long as Shanti Bahinis do not trouble you,it is none of your business to bother with them.I hope it is clear to you now.In the last part of your comment you alleged that the Shanti Bahinis had ambushed the policemen in the 90’s.Can you clarify which policemen were ambushed?

Famous Robert The Bruce announced “Men fight for me because if they do not, I throw them off my land and I starve their wives and their children.” This was many centuries ago, I wonder what CYMA was aiming for when they were issuing the Diktat to curve Development and Freedom of Association and ban on identity and Rights of the minority communities such as Mara, Lai, Hmar and Chakma in 2012. It is painful to see my beloved Mizoram being devided in the line of Ethnicity by an organisation like Young Mizo Association that i had tremendous respect for.
Few days back it was 7 organizations of Minority Communities and now CYMA’s counterpart Chakmas (CYCA), Maras (MTP) and Lais (CYLA) are sending a very strong and irrevocable signal by demanding withdrawal of CYMA’s Discriminatory and Unlawful Resolution. Without mixing any words the 3 minority organizations demanded explanation from the Mizo organization.
Here is the detail Report extracted from zonet.in: Central Young Lai Association, Mara Thyutli Py and Central Young Chakma Association asked Central YMA to withdraw its decision taken on the 14th Nov Meeting. In a joint meeting held in Lawngtlai DC Conference Hall today, the 3 NGOs passed a resolution to asked the Centre for transfer of more power to the 3 Autonomous District Councils in south Mizoram. In a joint press released the 3 NGOs described the decision taken by Central YMA as uncalled for and against Fundamental Right in the constitution. They also termed it as a step towards oppression of weaker section of the people. The 3 NGOs asked Central YMA to clarify the ethnic group called ‘Chibing’. They also asserted that Lai, Mara and Chakma are communities. Those who signed on the press statement included Central YLA President, Mr. LZ Tluanga, MTP President, Mr. T. Chatlua and Central Young Chakma Association President, Mr. Sossy Bhushan Chakma and their respective Gen. Secretaries. It may be recalled that
Central YMA has decided to oppose transfer of more power to 3 Autonomous District Councils in south Mizoram and formation of Churches, Political Parties and Students Association in the name of sub tribes of Mizoram. Earlier this was discussed and strongly objected by the Office Bearers of Central Young Lai Association, Lai Students Association and Hnampual Students Joint Action Committee.

Silence on more than 60,000 Illegal Mizos from Burma and Unlawful diktat to Mizoram’s Minority communities like Chakma, Mara and Lai. Uuufffff I wonder what is wrong with my beloved Mizo Organization CYMA. Some one said “Destructive mind does more damage than the most lethal weapon”. Hope good senses prevail!
